Zach Braff

GARDEN STATE
Zach Braff wrote and directed this film. I looked at it mostly for the story. I love the way in which the two characters form a relationship and particularly love the dialogue. It's hard to find a balance between cute, weird and believable. But it's done perfectly in this film. If we do a script for our film I'd like to capture the feeling of this.




THE LAST KISS
I also looked at this film for the storyline. In this, the script is quite raw in that it's very real whereas lots of films sugarcoat situations or make the weird and quirky. This script is dialogue that would actually happen for example the couple's interaction with each other before and after she finds out he slept with another woman.
