EXHIBITION AT THE DESIGN MUSEUM, LONDON 22ND JAN- 17TH MAY 2009
I haven't had enough money to go to this exhibition, but as soon as I can I'm going!
I listened to an interview with Chalayan about his exhibition:
Chalayan and his team created zones so that each collection could be appreciated within its own parameters.
He said the aim of the exhibition was to show his world in terms of design, films and sculptures. All of his work is formed by similar ideas. But most of all, the exhibition is a chance for the viewers to get close to the garments, and interact with the clothes and see them in a different context. By showing his collections in a different way to a costume exhibition, Chalayan has allowed more types of people to appreciate his work.
