AMELIE
I find it hard to describe Amelie because it is such an idealistic, romantic, quirky film. I love the style of it, again the colours and the "old fashioned" feel. My words aren't much use when describing the style of a film and why I like it so much so I hope clips and images will fill in what I can't say.
The last scene of Amelie and her lover riding off on the bike is the feeling i would want to capture in a film of our own. A sort of sweet, organic innocence between two people. I like that Amelie's character is a bit weird in that her hobbies are childish but not altogether silly and her mannerisms are awkward because of her...almost isolation from the rest of the world. Through weird means and stunts she finds love.
